Burj Khalifa — the world's tallest tower. This poster was printed days before the inauguration (in Jan of 2010), hence the title: Burj Dubai. It wasn't until the opening ceremony that the name formally changed from Burj Dubai to Burj Khalifa (in honor of Abu Dhabi's ruling family). Research alone took at least a month to do. The documents were almost as overwhelming as the structure itself. Execution took about two weeks. I made this infographic together with Guillermo Munro. Jacob Hernandez provided the main photo which was the foundation of my final composited image. The 3D rendering of Downtown Dubai (at the bottom of the poster) is credited to Graphic News and Golden Section Graphics. All in all, this was a great exercise and this won us Bronze in Malofiej-Infographic World Summit and an SND (Society for News Design) Award of Excellence.
